INDIA AND TERRORIST ACTIVITIES ON INDIAN SOIL

The recent attempted attack, on 2nd June, 2006, on the RSS Head Quarters at Nagpur, which was successfully foiled by the local police, is yet another eye opener for our blind and venal politicians. In the past there were several plans and attempts on VVIPs, Offices of important organizations/institutions, crowded places like market yards, railway stations, famous pilgrim centers, assemblies and parliaments. Our politicians are quick in condemning these attacks and then stay put. There ends their job. Every Indian politician thinks they have to, at least, condemn the incidence. With this behavior of our politicians, the public have now changed their opinion on them. Now these politicians have become Mendacious and Malversation.
Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain - and most fools do.
-- Dale Carnegie
An honest politician is one who, when he is bought, will stay bought.
-- Simon Cameron
The above sayings are absolutely true, in Indian context.

Indian political leaders have till date not attempted to stop the terrorists’ entry into the country. With all the advancement in the technology, and its application in the country, the government is not able to tell at any given time – how many foreigners are staying in the country? and how many are beyond their permitted stay? After 9/11 attacks in US, their government tightened the homeland security, and records are available who is entering the country and who is leaving the country. The known terrorists and their organizations are made known to the security at all ports of entry. But no such minimum precautions have taken place in our country. The country has become a dust bin; anybody can come and stay, complete his/her activities and go calmly. Insurgency is from all the four sides of the country. Sri Lankans from the south, Bangladeshis & Nepalese from the east, and Pakistanis and other Middle East nationals from north and west. Absolutely there is no control on the movements of these people at the borders or at the port of entry and even inside the country.

When A.B.Vajpayee was the PM of the country, he said at the top of his voice that anybody entering the country with terrorist motives will meet death in this country. What happened to those words, there are no actions? Now he is busy in inciting the public for separate states (Telangana, for example and in future he may also incite the public for a separate Rayalaseema state, chances are there abundantly).

Whatever be your objurgation, our politicians are thick skinned. They are interested in themselves and their prosperity. Without any educational qualifications, morals, and spending lakhs of rupees they enter the political arena, not for serving the nation or people, but to take back the investment with appreciation. In the course of their political career, they use every opportunity to change parties and stab the people/leaders alike in order to achieve their goals.

Immediately after the announcement of A.B.Vajpayee, J & K Assembly and the Parliament are attacked. After that followed, attacks on Aksharadham in Gujarat, RamMandir in Ayodhya, Sankatmochan mandir in Varanasi, and Indian Institute of Sciences in Bangalore.

All the countries believe and is a fact that Pakistan breeds and bread the terrorism. The known terrorist groups are sheltered in Pakistan. It is proved time and again that Pakistan is giving training to youth in their Madrasas on terrorist activities. In the recent earth quake, these training camps are grounded, but they are about 60 in number have been built again, that too a good number in the POK. Our government is a spectator to these activities. Tolerance to some extent is admissible, but when it is dragged to a length, it is called cowardice and snool. We lost more lives than the lives on 9/11 attacks in US. But within a month US, responded violently and almost grounded the offenders. But, what we have done…..NOTHING, NOTHING AND NOTHING. The inefficiency of our Political Leaders is clearly showed when they withdrawn ‘POTA’(Prevention Of Terrorist Activities). In December 2003, the Supreme Court of India clearly spelled out POTA is within the constitutional framework and there is nothing unconstitutional, in spite of that, it is still withdrawn. Now, you can imagine the weakness or impotency of our political leaders. Our government(s) even could not control the activities of a small group of people like Naxals and Maoists within the country. Till recent past, a one man army the forest brigand Veerappan terrorized the three southern states and all three states’ governments are only spectators and clearly suffering from onychophagy.

Since last couple of decades, we are celebrating our Independence Day and Republic Day
in the fear of Terrorist Attacks. But never we have done anything to curtail it. Now a stage is fast approaching that PEACE AND TRANQUILITY in
India is the mercy of Pakistani leaders.

Lastly there is no sincere political will to contain terrorist activities in the country and the politicians, in fact, waiting for an incidence to take place, so that they can encash it for their political gains.
